Maharashtra: Fadnavis government will go or remain, who will become chief minister, Supreme Court will pronounce verdict tomorrow at 10.30 am

Maharashtra’s political struggle continued in the Supreme Court on Monday. During the tremendous arguments of all the parties, the Supreme Court patiently listened to everyone and decided that now Mangalwal will be given a decision in this case at 10.30 am. Justice NV Ramanna said that “I will issue an order on this tomorrow at 10.30 am”.

In the hearing held on Monday, the Solicitor General presented the letters received to the Governor. Along with this, the lawyers of both the parties presented their own side. Kapil Sibal, Abhishek Manusinghvi advocated Shiv Sena-NCP while Advocate Maninder Singh appeared on behalf of Ajit Pawar. At the same time, Mukul Rohatgi pleaded on behalf of Devendra Fadnavis. A bench headed by Justice NV Ramana also consists of Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Sanjeev Khanna.

During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that before showing the decision of Rajyapal, he would like to tell about the background of the case. He kept in court a copy of the invitation given by the Governor to Devendra Fadnavis to form the government. Along with this, he kept the letter of support sent by Ajit Pawar to the Governor on 22 November.

During this time, the lawyers appearing in the court on behalf of Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena, where today demanded a majority test from the court. At the same time, the lawyer of the ruling party said that majority trials are bound to happen, but they should be given more time. Meanwhile, it was also revealed that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari gave 14 days time to the Fadnavis government to prove its majority. Whereas, earlier it was being said that the government has to prove majority by 30 November.
