Virat Kohli became the Indian batsman to complete 1000 Test runs against South Africa in the shortest innings. Kohli achieved this position in his 19th innings. He broke the record of Virender Sehwag, who had completed 1000 runs against South Africa in 20 innings. Sachin Tendulkar had completed 1000 Test runs in 29 innings and Rahul Dravid in 30 innings.
